Sustainability
Bebeluca products are designed, wherever possible, to use recycled and recyclable components in their manufacture to minimise their impact on the environment .
Our factories use renewable sources of electricity wherever possible, such as solar, wind and hydroelectric power. However, we still need to rely upon conventional electricity supplies too but our innovative manufacturing processes and component materials are designed to be highly efficient and are also designed to minimise power consumption.
Over 60% of the components we use in manufacture are made within our shared group of factories . This means that we have dedicated in-house facilities to recycle, not only, virtually all of our own production waste but are also able to recycle some materials from outwith our group factory production.
Where we cannot recycle our own waste we are able to export the vast majority to specialist recycling plants.
We are not perfect but we have been awarded a number of awards for our achievements in minimising environmental impact in our product components as follows.
- EU accreditation, certification and awards for recycling in production and products
- 30% recycled polythene packaging
- Solvent free printing
- Recycled and recyclable product and packaging composition
- Part renewable energy used in manufacturer with target of 75% renewable energy (solar, wind and hydroelectric) by end 2022
- Oekotex 100 certification on all required sleep surfaces and textiles
- Compliance with ALL the latest REACH tables to July 2020
